Becky McCall is an artist with a naturalist background.  Several years ago, she set out to create a painting of old Hetch Hetchy Valley.  One painting turned into two, and two turned into several.  While doing research for the paintings, she came to realize that historical information about the old valley, outside of conservation politics and dam construction,  was scant.   Curiosity, followed by years of meticulous research, and a love for Yosemite National Park, resulted in the beautiful book - IN OLD HETCH HETCHY: An Illustrated Tour and History of Yosemite's Other Grand Valley.  Available on Amazon.com
